Service Types

Service Definition types.

The types of definitions are:

Account

Type “svc_account” is best used for defining services that require a username and password combination. Many additional fields are available. Typical uses would be for creating email accounts, portal logins, or even Radius authentication accounts.

Domain

Type “svc_domain” offers the ability to enter domain names into the system for use later in relation to defining “svc_account” entries.

Certificate

Type “svc_cert” provides storage of SSL certificate data.

Forward

Type “svc_forward” provides an interface for the storage of email aliases.

Mailing List

Type “svc_mailinglist” allows for the storage of properties associated with a Mailing List server configuration.

World Wide Web

Type “svc_www” provides for the storage of the configuration data associated to the configuration of a web server.

Broadband

Type “svc_broadband” provides for the storage of information related to an internet connection. The definition fields are oriented towards being used by WISPs.

Cable

Type “svc_cable” provides for the storage of information related to the set-top-box provided by the cable modem provider.

DSL

Type “svc_cable” provides for the saving of information related to the deployment of a DSL connection. It allows for the entry of CLEC and ILEC data that identifies the circuit and configuration of the service.

Dish

Type “svc_dish” allows for the storing of account number and installation information for Dish satellite service.

Hardware

Type “svc_hardware” allows for storing information related to equipment deployed to the customer premise. ie: modem, router, switches, APs, etc…

Phone

Type “svc_phone” provides a number of fields related to the porting, provisioning, and deployment of a phone number. It may also include e911, LNP and SMS information.

PBX

Type “svc_pbx” stores the details related to the provisioning of a SIP/VoIP trunk.

Circuit

Type “svc_circuit” stores the information related to ordering and deploying a physical “copper” circuit to the customer endpoint.

Fiber

Type “svc_fiber” stores the deployment data related to a fiber optic IP connection.

Port

Type “svc_port” was created to store the Torrus serviceid.

Alarm

Type “svc_alarm” stores details related to a security or alarm system.

External

Type “svc_external” stores a reference to a unique number for an external record.
